PPL sends layoff notices to 120 workers (Providence Business News)

PROVIDENCE – Layoff notices were sent this week to nearly every employee in the Providence Public Library system as the private nonprofit prepares to hand over control of its nine neighborhood branches to the city government.

WBBMCh. 2 layoffs include Joanie Lum (WGN TV Chicago)

There have been layoffs today at CBS-owned WBBM-Ch. 2 in Chicago, sources confirm. Reporter Joanie Lum and some behind-the-scenes staffers have been among those cut. The station is said to be discontinuing its weekend morning newscasts.
