Governor Quinn will announce $1 billion worth of budget cuts to mummed press. Governor Pat Quinn is revealing to the press details of the $1-billion budget cut for the state of Illinois, after saying on Wednesday that cuts and layoffs will be inevitable, and that everyone will have to tighten their belts.

Timken announces new round of layoffs in Lebanon (New Hampshire Business Review)

Timken Aerospace has announced a second round of layoffs at its Lebanon, N.H., plant, citing a weakening demand in the commercial aerospace sector. The Lebanon plant is laying off 54 employees. The Lebanon plant laid off 45 employees in April. It employed more than 750 people in 2008.
