State training programs turns layoffs into small businesses (Everett Herald)

After a layoff and a fruitless job search, this sight might start looking pretty good. That’s what the state’s Self-Employment Assistance Program is all about. The program takes laid-off workers and turns them into small business owners — and future employers.
