About 100 Boeing workers to get layoff notices (Everett Herald)

About 100 Boeing Co. employees in the Puget Sound region will receive 60-day layoff notices today. This is the latest in a series of layoffs announced by Boeing in January. The aerospace company plans to reduce its work force by 6 percent, or 10,000 jobs, companywide by the end of the year.
