Canton and police union finalize agreement to avoid layoffs (The Canton Repository)

The administration and the union representing patrol officers have finalized an agreement designed to avert 18 police layoffs. A furlough plan for patrol officers works in conjunction with restructuring of the Police Department. Traffic enforcement will be increased under the plan.
