Caterpillar layoffs were ‘known possibility’ (Oswego Ledger-Sentinel)

Local union officials reacted this week to Caterpillar’s most recent round of layoffs. Dustin McCance, vice president of United Auto Workers Local 145, based in Montgomery, said the construction equipment manufacturer laid off 500 workers from its Oswego Township plant near Montgomery last Friday.
