Deputies to work 12-hour days to avoid layoffs (The State Journal-Register)
Sangamon County sheriff’s deputies have voted in favor of increasing their workday from nine to 12 hours in response to a request from Sheriff Neil Williamson for schedule changes to avoid layoffs, the union representing deputies announced today.
