DPS looking at possible layoffs of up to 500 (Maricopa Monitor)

When Gov. Jan Brewer and the Arizona Legislature discovered that the state’s revenue shortfall was well above the previous estimate of $1 billion, the governor sent a request to all state agencies to come up with a plan to achieve a 15 percent reduction.
