Firefighter Layoffs Mean Slower Response (FOX40 Sacramento)
It may take a little longer for Sacramento Firefighters to respond to emergencies. That’s the result of 68 layoffs the Sacramento City Council approved Tuesday night after failed contract negotiations with the firefighter’s union. Fire Chief Ray Jones says residents should expect up to a ninety second increase in response times.
