Harrisburg School Board halts layoffs, reconsiders closing of William Penn School
The Harrisburg School Board voted 6-0 Thursday to table the planned layoffs of 23 administrators, 54 teachers and other instructional professionals, and 97 members of the support staff required by cuts in the 2010-11 budget.
