A year ago, Ryan Alecrim had a high-paying job and his first child on the way and things were never better. But like many people in this worsening economy, things went downhill in a hurry. Seven months ago, with his son, Jacob Ryan, just 2 months old, the new dad lost his full-time iron worker job.
