Local Teachers To Protest Layoff Notices (CBS 2 Los Angeles)

Public school teachers in El Segundo and Pomona plan to hold demonstrations Tuesday to protest possible layoffs. The demonstrations come after 643 layoff notices were issued by the Pomona Unified School District. The teacher’s union also said that the board made procedural errors when sending out the pink slips and should therefore reverse the action.
