Lynch: $140m in cuts may mean layoffs (New Hampshire Union Leader)

Gov. John Lynch told the heads of state agencies Thursday to draw up plans to save $140 million through the next fiscal year — a new round of budget cuts that he says are likely to mean layoffs among state workers. Lynch said he will review the proposals, which he expects in the next couple of weeks, and make decisions on the cuts.
