Madera Unified issues layoff notices (The Fresno Bee)

The Madera Unified School District has issued layoff notices to 114 full-time teachers and administrators, the district announced today. Spokesman Jake Bragonier said that not all employees who received a notice will necessarily be laid off. The district is struggling to close a $13 million budget gap.
