Mahoning County sheriff sets 101 layoffs (Tribune Chronicle)
YOUNGSTOWN - For the fourth time in a little over a decade, the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office will undergo a series of massive layoffs, as it announced Friday it will be laying off 101 employees. The layoffs, effective March 28, include four sergeants and 90 deputies, as well as seven civilian employees, reducing the total number of employees in the department to 201.
