Mass layoffs in Arizona down from April, up from 2008 (BizJournals)

Businesses in Arizona and across the nation marked an increase in mass layoff actions in May compared with last year, according to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics. Arizona numbers, however, are down sharply from the previous month.
