Metuchen school employees agree to wage freeze, prevent 20 layoffs
METUCHEN — A wage freeze agreed to by all the school district’s 300 employees has helped alleviate a budget crisis that could have otherwise resulted in about 20 layoffs, according to business administrator Michael Harvier.
