WARREN - City Council Deputy Clerk Brenda Smith laughed and said she didn’t think she would spend 2009 living in a cardboard box, but the local job opportunities in her line of work are troubling her. There aren’t any. “What can I do? There’s no sense crying and screaming about it. What good would that do?” Smith said Tuesday, the second-to-last-day of work before her layoff.
