Ormet files layoff notice for all workers (The Marietta Times)

All 982 Ormet Corp. employees were given notice this week they could soon be out of work as the company continues to struggle to reduce costs and find its niche in the battered aluminum market. Ormet officials filed a federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice Monday, indicating that operations could be coming to a halt at the Monroe County facility.
