School board takes first step in potential 1,000 employee-layoff (Elk Grove Citizen)
A grim faced school board member Pollyanna Cooper/LeVangie talked after the board meeting with Tom Gardner, president of the teachers’ association. The board is seeking salary freezes and furloughs to aid in the budget gap.
