SF Releasing Rainy Day Funds To Stem Teacher Layoffs (KTVU 2 San Francisco)
San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom and most of the Board of Supervisors agreed Tuesday to release at least $11.5 million from the city’s rainy day reserve fund to stem some of the hundreds of projected layoffs of public school teachers this year due to budget cuts.
