Stafford reels from wave of layoffs (Journal Inquirer)

STAFFORD — With about 127 layoffs here in the past month, the town is experiencing firsthand the effects of the nation’s stalled economy. The Warren Corp., a 156-year-old woolen and fabric mill, has laid off 57 workers, or 35 percent of its 160-employee workforce.
