Sullivan could face county layoffs, tax hikes (Middletown Times Herald-Record)
MONTICELLO — Sullivan County is looking at a roughly $5 million deficit in its 2010 budget — and officials are telling taxpayers to expect a tax increase between 3 percentand 5 percent, reductions in county services and layoffs.
