Union concessions could eliminate 27 proposed layoffs in Reading (Reading Eagle)
It’s possible the city may be able to eliminate 27 of its proposed layoffs and still make its 2010 budget work, but only if unions agree to forgo a pay raise and accept a so-called payroll lag at the end of 2010.
