Van Wert auto parts firm to close, costing 179 jobs (The Toledo Blade)

VAN WERT, Ohio, — Kongsberg Driveline Systems, an auto parts supplier, has notified the state of Ohio that it will begin closing its Van Wert plant on March 16, resulting in the permanent layoff of 179 workers. In July, the company told state officials it planned to move its shifter-cable, sample-service, and extrusion work from the Van Wert plant to an unnamed site.
